Which mounting bracket should I use for my IP camera?

Which mounting bracket should I use for my IP camera?

Almost all IP cameras that we sell can be mounted without an additional bracket or mounting box. Sometimes a different position for the camera is required which can be accomplished by using a bracket. For example: a wall bracket for a dome camera can be used to mount the camera in a horizontal postion against a wall or a camera can be built into a ceiling with a special ceiling mounting bracket.

Most IP cameras have short wiring with connectors that extrude from the base of the camera and must be passed through the mounting surface or routed sideways out of the camera over the mounting surface. Routing the cable sideways out of the camera has a higher susceptibility to tampering. The cable from an IP camera usually has connectors for an RJ45 connection and power supply. Some cameras also have an alarm and audio input and output. A separately available mounting box or bracket can be used to install the wiring and connectors and to protect the wiring and connectors against weather conditions and vandalism. The most common brackets and junction boxes are on the product page of the IP camera included under the tab "Options".

The camera's datasheet almost always indicates which mounting brackets are suitable. A bracket selector can often be found on the manufacturer's website. In case of a different mounting situation or the unavailability of mounting brackets we sell universal plastic mounting brackets and boxes of CamBox.
