Using the Hikvision DS-KB8112-IM doorbell stand alone with only the app
The vandal resistant Hikvision DS-KB8112-IM doorbell can be used stand alone when special firmware is used. The firmware makes it possible to use the Hikvision DS-KB8112-IM without a Hikvision intercom indoor monitor so you can operate the doorbell with only the mobile app. A connected electric lock, door magnet or for example a gate can be controlled from the app. An extra bell or chime can be connected but then it is not possible to control a lock. These functions make use of the same relay and can be assigned in the settings of the doorbell.
The
special firmware can be downloaded from the Hikvision download portal for DIY installation.
